Our Classes

You may find that every Reformer Pilates studio calls their classes something slightly different. If you need help selecting the right class for you, please get in touch using the form at the bottom of the page.

It is super important that for your first Reformer session with us here at Patti’s you book a Primer Reformer session, we’d reccommend 3-5 Reformer Primer sessions before then booking on to a Power, Plyo or Primer Plus class.

This isn’t any measure of your fitness or strength but to ensure you have an understanding of how the Reformer itself works and the Pilates Principles such as breathing, control and precision.

We also offer Mat & Barre Pilates classes here at Patti’s, all of these sessions are mixed ability and you can attend any of them as a beginner or if you have experience on the mat.

When you go to book a class with us you will be re-directed to a separate booking platform, Mindbody, to complete your purchase.

Reformer Classes at Patti's

Patti’s Primer

The perfect place for anyone who is new to reformer pilates , this class is suitable for beginners or those who want to develop a correct and effective understanding of pilates and the reformer method, form and technique.

We recommended that you first do 3-5 primer classes you are new to reformer pilates before attending a Power session.

Our Primer classes are mixed ability and so there will always be progression options with every exercise allowing you to push yourself as much as you feel you want to.

Patti’s Power

A class for those of you who like a fast-flowing workout session. With pilates at its core, Power sessions will combine foundation reformer pilates exercises with advanced options and a modern spin.

We’ll be adding props, resistance bands, weights and jump boards, all sessions are designed to be intense but low impact and gentle on your joints.

If you are new to reformer pilates we would recommend not booking Power for your first time with us and starting with a Primer session.

Patti’s Primer Plus

Our core Patti’s class for our regulars; Primer Plus is a mixed ability session tailored for those who have been attending reformer pilates sessions regularly, building your personal strength, technique and control.

We'd recommend at least 3-5 Primer sessions first to really gain an understanding of the reformer and our instructors cues.

As always all exercises can be progressed and regressed to meet your individual needs and ability. You will of course feel the burn, be challenged and build strength and balance from all Primer Plsessions.

Patti’s Plyo

Our Jump Board classes, a class for those of you who like a fast-flowing workout session. With Pilates at its core, Plyo sessions will combine foundation Reformer Pilates exercises with dynamic Jump Board flows, including the use of Jump Boards in every session.

So what is it? The Jump Board is an additional piece of equipment added to the base of the bed, providing a surface you can ‘jump’ on, opening up a world of plyometric exercises to target the lower body.

The repetitive jumping movement during the session will elevate your heart rate, turning this class into an effective cardio workout and turning the intensity up a notch compared to usual slower sessions.
